Multi-instrumentalist Doug Legacy is one of the founding members of the the Zydeco Party Band. He has puppeteered background characters on Muppets Tonight and his band were featured as the house band for the show (with Legacy playing accordion). He made a cameo in episode 207 and did the whistling in the "Muppets Tonight Theme".

Doug joins award-winning television, radio, multimedia personality and host Jim Masters on this musical episode of The Jim Masters Show LIVE series.

Doug's band, the Zydeco Party Band, also won an Emmy for being the house band for The Late Mr. Pete Show. The band also provide music for Gilmore Girls, How I Met Your Mother, and The Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, and Sean Hayes.

Outside of the band, Legacy plays a pirate at Disneyland playing sea shanties on accordion and penny whistles.

Doug has been extremely blessed to have been able to work with so many of his heroes; either singing, playing or taking care of their instruments. The first 45 rpm single that he ever bought was by Little Richard and he was also the first rock star he tuned a piano for. Since then, Ihe has have tuned pianos for more awesome musicians than he can possibly remember. Doug also ended up preforming with many of those people. Such as Rod Stewart (he was keyboard tech and steel drummer) and Todd Rundgren whom he was a tech for his band Utopia and then a singer on his tour "A Capella".

Doug worked for several years with other musicians and finally decided to focus on his own band again. He's had some real adventures including working with Muppets and opening for the Neville Brothers in Europe and Japan.

The current team of musicians that I am working with are top notch and our new album "Lagniappe!" is going to turn some heads!"
